Deer and Honeysuckle Impacts on Soil Nitrate Production in Ohio Hardwood Forests, Undergraduate Research Assistant, Miami University; Dec. 2017- May 2019

  • Data collection of soil cores from Spring 2018 to present time from deer exclosures and control plots.

  • Processed soils, made base traps, and conducted titrations. 

  • Examining data from multiple seasons to determine impacts of deer and honeysuckle over various times of the year.

  • Presented preliminary research data at the Miami University Undergraduate Research Forum in April of 2018.

Leaf Litter Processing of Northern Hardwood Forests Focusing on Nutrient Cycling, Undergraduate Research Assistant, Miami University; Dec. 2017- May 2019

  • Sorting and organizing leaf litter collection by plot.

  • Grinding of leaf litter for proper analysis.

  • Analyzing gowned litter for nutrient compositions.
